On the 19th of September the Remarkables Ski Field will be hosting its annual Pirate Day in conjunction with the International Talk like a Pirate Day.
This years scurvy fun will include:
- A ski field wide pirate fancy dress party
- A treasure hunt for children
- The ever popular Cardboard Pirate ship race (home built cardboard pirate ships race down a slope and are judged on such important criteria as best crash, most pira-tude, and fastest time)
- The Pegged Legged Pirate Endurance race! In this event competitors/teams will be raising money for The Remarkables Adaptive Snowsports program by completing as many laps as possible in three hours using only one ski and specially designed outriggers to keep their balance.
If you would like to weigh anchor and take part in Pegged Legged Pirate Race or enter your own ship into the cardboard ship race please contact Kim at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you would like to volunteer with the adaptive program or know someone who could benefit from the Adaptive Snowsports program please email email@example.com.
