The New Zealand Maritime Museum will host live screenings of the America’s Cup final races in the Maritime Room on the waterfront.
After the success of the last four races, the America's Cup is heating up so don't miss all of the action as EmiratesTeam NZ attempt to take the cup from Oracle Team USA.
Continuing this Sunday morning at 5am, the museum, in conjunction with The Maritime Room, Sero, Edwards Sound System Ltd, and with generous support from Sky TV, will host free public screenings of all the cup action as it happens.
For those wanting to have a bit more sleep, the museum will also be screening the delayed coverage on Prime from 6.30am.
Doors to The Maritime Room will open at 4.45am on Sunday 25 and Monday 26 June. Numbers will be limited to 300 guests. It will work on a first come, first serve basis, with no reserves. Following that, there will be screenings from Tuesday 27 at 5am until the final race day.
While public transport is limited at that time, there is plenty of parking at the Viaduct, and the Downtown Carpark is opening from 6am.
It’s an early start so coffee and tea will be available.
Yachting fans will also be able to have their photograph taken with the museum’s replica America’s Cup trophy. The trophy is currently exhibited in our Blue Water Black Magic gallery, will be displayed in the Maritime Room for the duration of the races.
The Maritime Room entrance is located on Princes Wharf, next to Burger Boy
