The Chaser's War on Waste has stimulated plenty of interest in reducing what we throw out. Here in Tassie, Hobart City Council has recently gone live with its Zero Waste to Landfill by 2030 strategy. Alderman Helen Burnet will be along to talk about this initiative, as well as a recent trip she undertook to find out how Recology in San Francisco is meeting their zero waste targets. Nathan Harris and Peg Putt will also be on the expert panel, to discuss how Markets for change are doing their bit one coffee cup at a time.
Meet upstairs at The Duke, and you're welcome to stay for a meal and a drink.
(Make sure you follow the tickets link to register for the event, so we know how many people to expect.)
