When: September 23, 2017, 10:30 am

Our 3rd Saturday morning workshop for the year, it will be another rich inquiry. These workshops are a space where we use movement as a tool for personal inquiry, through the Open Floor Movement Practice. And our September exploration...
In our Australian 'tall poppy' culture, 'being humble' and 'playing small' seem to often be idolised. This can bring a warm humility, and sometimes, we feel a hunger to be seen in our fullness. To share our gifts with the world. To be whitnessed as we express ourselves more fully. To take up space, be large, loud, wild. Or maybe be small, soft, gentle.
How can we let ourselves take up space? To be seen and celebrated in our fullness? How can we share what's important and true to us? And how can we do this in an embodied way?
"Risk being seen in your glory" - Jim Carry

WHAT IS OPEN FLOOR?
Open Floor Movement Practice is a lively, life-affirming dance inquiry inviting us to track our thoughts, feelings, and habits and turn them into creative fuel. Using universal movement resources, such as breath, grounding and centering, our aim is to use our movement practice to be fully embodied – physically, emotionally, mindfully. This simply means being home in our body for the beautiful ride of being alive - present for anything and everything.
Open Floor is a free-form mindful movement exploration with no dance experience required or steps to follow; a safe space to express yourself and connect with others.
