Maynes Marine will again be hosting their annual Jet Ski Expo & Time Trials on November 5th 2017.
The following will take place on the day
Surf Life Saving will be conducting licence courses for both boat & PWC.
Time Trials in three classes - Supercharged, Non-Supercharged & Seadoo Spark.
Jetskitas will be present on the day with information about the club, the rides they do and the support the offer to jet ski owners in Tasmania.
There will be $5 jet ski rides on the day with all proceeds being donated to Variety - The Childrens Charity.
Food & drinks will be available to purchase from the kiosk at the Montrose Bay Yacht Club.
St. John Ambulance will be present on the day with some demonstrations, information & first aid products available to purchase.
MAYNES MARINE and their staff are passionate about helping people create a lifestyle that is fun and affordable for all boaties & PWC users. TASMANIAN JET SPORTS BOATING CLUB provides a safe, fun and enjoyable environment for all PWC users around the state. Throughout the year the club conducts social rides, tours, time trials & family events. TJSBC members have all types of PWCs from stand-ups through to luxury 3 seaters. This club is the proud recipient of the 2013 Water Safety Week Award and will continue to educate safety awareness on the water. Everyone is welcome to join the club and there are events to suit individual.

MONTROSE BAY YACHT CLUB operates as a not-for-profit organisation under a local committee with the aim of promoting an interest in sailing & facilitating sailing activities in a safe on water environment using small 1 & 2 person sailing dinghies. The clubrooms house a small fleet of both club owned & private sailing dinghies, including the popular Mirror, Miracle, Sabre & optimist designs in both fibreglass and timber. The club will be supplying food and drinks throughout the day from the kiosk.
SURF LIFE SAVING TASMANIA in conjunction with Marine & Safety conducts Personal Water Craft (PWC) training in line with the new legislative requirements. SLST has used Personal Water Craft for rescue work since the 1990s. SLST provides swift water, floods, and search & rescue services. In addition they also provide training to Marine Search & Rescue Police around Australia.
The PWC training course is broken into a theory and practical session. The time required for the practical program will depend on your level of experience. For those who have used a PWC, then an assessment of your competence will be made including and areas (such as towing skiers etc) you may wish to gain a greater knowledge of. For those of you who have never been on a PWC the course will cover everything you need to know to safely enjoy your PWC.
Arrangements can be made for those who wish or need to attain their boat licence in addition to the PWC licence.
